Anna Faris is an American actress, comedian, producer, writer, podcaster and author, born on 29 November 1976 in Baltimore. She rose to prominence through comedic roles, and her films as a leading actress have grossed more than 1.5 billion dollars worldwide.

Faris is best known as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie films, which began in 2000. Her other film credits include May, Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain, The House Bunny, The Dictator and Overboard, and she voiced characters in the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Alvin and the Chipmunks franchises. On television she appeared in the final season of Friends and co-led the sitcom Mom from 2013 to 2021. She also created the podcast Unqualified and wrote a memoir of the same name.
