About Dominique Wilkins

Dominique Wilkins is an American former professional basketball player, born on 12 January 1960 in Paris, who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely viewed as one of the most acrobatic slam dunkers in NBA history, which earned him the nickname the Human Highlight Film.

Wilkins is a nine-time NBA All-Star and a seven-time All-NBA Team member, and he led the NBA in scoring in the 1985 to 86 season. With the Hawks he holds franchise records for most games played, with 882, most minutes played, most career points, with 23,292, and most points per game, with 26.4. He also had short stints with the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, Panathinaikos, Fortitudo Bologna, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic before he retired in 1999. With Panathinaikos he won his first titles, the FIBA European League and the Greek Cup.
