Ayaka Yamashita is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Japan national team. She was born on 29 September 1995 in Adachi, Tokyo.

She joined Nippon TV Beleza in 2014, and the club won the L.League. She was selected for the Best Eleven for three years in a row from 2015. She signed a three year deal with Manchester City on 9 August 2024. She debuted for Japan against South Korea on 4 August 2015 at the East Asian Cup, and was in the squad when Japan won the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup.
