About Charli XCX
Charli XCX, born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, is a British singer, songwriter and actress. She was born on 2 August 1992 in Cambridge. She began posting songs on Myspace in 2008 before entering the London rave scene, and she signed a recording contract with Asylum Records in 2010.
In 2012 she co-wrote and was featured on Icona Pop's I Love It, which became her first number-one song in the UK. In 2014 she was featured on Iggy Azalea's single Fancy and released Boom Clap, her first solo top-ten single in the US. Her second album, Sucker, came out in 2014, and from 2015 she worked with producers linked to the UK collective PC Music. Her later releases include the mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2, the album Charli with the hit 1999, and How I'm Feeling Now, made during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Her fifth studio album, Crash, became her first number-one album in the UK and Australia.
