About Sulli

Sulli, born Choi Jin-ri, was a South Korean singer and actress. She was born on 29 March 1994 in Busan and died in October 2019. She made her debut as a child actress, appearing in the SBS historical drama Ballad of Seodong in 2005, and she went on to appear in Love Needs a Miracle, Drama City and the independent films Punch Lady and BA:BO.

After signing with SM Entertainment, Sulli rose to prominence as a member of the girl group f(x), formed in 2009. The group had four Korean number-one singles and became the first K-pop act to perform at SXSW. She starred in the SBS romantic comedy To the Beautiful You in 2012, earning two SBS Drama Awards. Her film roles included The Pirates and Fashion King in 2014 and the thriller Real in 2017. She left f(x) in August 2015, became an endorsement model for Estée Lauder, and released her debut single album, Goblin, in June 2019.
