About Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski is an American former professional football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He was born on 14 May 1989 in Amherst and is nicknamed Gronk. He played college football for the Arizona Wildcats, earning third-team All-American honors as a sophomore in 2008. He played only two collegiate seasons, but his 1,197 receiving yards were a team record for his position.

The New England Patriots selected Gronkowski in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft, after he missed his junior year due to back surgery. He played nine seasons for the Patriots, then his final two seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is a four-time Super Bowl champion, winning Super Bowls XLIX, LI, LIII and LV, and a five-time Pro Bowl selection. In 2011 he became the first tight end to lead the league in receiving touchdowns, with 17.
