About Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is a Serbian professional basketball player who is a center for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on 19 February 1995 in Sombor and is nicknamed Joker. He represents the Serbian national team, with which he won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The Nuggets selected Jokic 41st overall in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft, and he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2016. He earned his first All-Star and All-NBA First Team selections in 2018 to 2019. He won back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player Awards in 2021 and 2022, and was named NBA Finals MVP in 2023 after leading the Nuggets to their first NBA championship. He won his third MVP Award the following season.
