About Vince Carter

Vince Carter is an American former professional basketball player who played for 22 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on 26 January 1977 in Daytona Beach. He played college basketball for three years with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Carter primarily played the shooting guard and small forward positions. The Golden State Warriors selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft and traded him to the Toronto Raptors, where he won the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year Award and the Slam Dunk Contest at the 2000 NBA All-Star Weekend. He won a gold medal with the United States at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He is an eight-time All-Star and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2024.
