About Giorgi Mamardashvili

Giorgi Mamardashvili is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Premier League club Liverpool and the Georgia national team. He was born on 29 September 2000 in Tbilisi. He spent much of his youth years at Dinamo Tbilisi.

After signing a professional contract with Dinamo Tbilisi, Mamardashvili was loaned to other Erovnuli Liga teams for three seasons before his transfer to Valencia. He quickly established himself as a first-choice shot-stopper, becoming the first Georgian goalkeeper in the Spanish top tier. He was named Goalkeeper of the Year in Georgia in 2020 and Footballer of the Year in Georgia in 2024.
