About Christy Turlington
Christy Turlington is an American fashion model, born on 2 January 1969 in Walnut Creek, California. She was the middle of three daughters born to Dwain Turlington, a Pan Am pilot, and María Elizabeth, a flight attendant from El Salvador. She was discovered by the photographer Dennie Cody while riding a horse in Miami, and she began modeling after school from age 14 while attending Monte Vista High School in Danville.
After turning 18, Turlington moved to New York City to model full-time. She gained fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a supermodel. She represented Calvin Klein's Eternity campaign in 1989 and again in 2014, and she also represents Maybelline.
