About Eddie Vedder

Eddie Vedder, born Edward Louis Severson III on 23 December 1964 in Evanston, is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist and primary lyricist for the rock band Pearl Jam. He was previously a guest vocalist for the supergroup Temple of the Dog, a tribute band dedicated to the singer Andrew Wood.

Vedder released his first solo album in 2007 as the soundtrack for the film Into the Wild. His second album, Ukulele Songs, followed in 2011, and his third, Earthling, in 2022. Known for his baritone vocals, he was ranked seventh on a Rolling Stone readers' poll of the best lead singers of all time, and in 2017 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Pearl Jam.
